 The number one issue of today in the United States according to a Gallup poll is immigration. Then we have health care, terrorism, and crime. All valid. Tribal politics comes in as a concern surprisingly high. Does it really matter? Fake news makes it about Trump. Under our noses, nor does anyone care, atrocities occur on a daily basis without as much as a whimper. The lies that we are told about what to think only distract from our purpose of being a human. Does anyone think of the prisoners in China that are being kept alive for their body parts? Care about the Kardashians more than the 30 million slaves that exist in the modern world? 60,000 in the United States alone? 564,000 homeless people living on the streets in modern America? That we spend 600 billion a year for the military, but we cannot eradicate child hunger? The whole purpose is for you not to fall into the trap that I did. Focusing on my life so much that I could not see the forest from the trees. I ignored the issues that are quite huge and horrifying. You or I cannot take it on by ourselves. Starting with helping one person, the effect of being a positive versus a neutral can make an impact. My friends, it is late in my day, but you are young and can make a difference in the world.
