Jim Crow lives. The infamous Jim Crow laws were not names after a person. The name was given as a ' JOHN DOE" moniker representing Crow as a black person. The laws were instituted in the South after the Civil War to intimidate blacks not to integrate into society. The laws sought to keep blacks from voting, marrying whites, or even associating with whites. Whites were fined for association with blacks ten times the amount that blacks were fined for their meeting. Blacks could be arrested and put into prison work camps if they did not have a job.Voting was based on literacy. Blacks were asked complicated science questions while whites were given 2 +2= questions. The Supreme Court upheld separate but equal public transportation. These laws were in effect until 1965.The new Jim Crow was given the name " The War on Drugs".A disproportionate amount of blacks are being thrown into prison. This contrived war has disrupted the family unit of African Americans and has shown white society's contempt for the black race.“A few years ago, (Barack Obama) would have been getting us coffee.” – Bill Clinton to Ted Kennedy. Clinton is just another example of private racism while publicly denouncing it.12% of the population makes up 35% of jail population. Why? Because white men make money off of prisons and keeps the black men away from their wives. Fake conservative news outlets say that racism does not exist.
