On June 17th, Father's Day, Curtis Mays had a burger and onion rings at Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden in Astoria, Queens. He received his receipt and noticed that it had specific instructions for the cook to violate his food. The receipt read, "please spit in it too." Mays was outraged and asked the waitress why she would do such a thing but she walked away. The manager apologized and fired the waitress on the spot. People on Facebook don't believe it was meant to say "split" instead of "spit" because it would not have fir in the context of the sentence. Some people on Facebook are saying to cook at home. It leaves me feeling wary of the food served to me at every restaurant I eat at.
