Career Day Gone Wrong
A Chicago school principal, Mary Beth Cunat suddenly retired after she invited Ethan Ethos, an anti-police extremist to talk to her middle school students on career day. Cunat said she, "brought in Ethos to talk to students about his poetry and civic work," but things did not go according to plan. She was a principal at one of Chicago's top performing schools and the parents regarded her as a great principal. Ultimately, parents were very angry with Cunat because she didn't do her research on someone who was speaking to the children. The Chicago School District made known that they had no idea Ethos was approved for speaking at career day.
