Like every other social media site, Twitter has decided to combat the spreading of fake news. Twitter plans on partnering with local news outlets to stream on their social media platform. Kayvon Beykpour, a Twitter executive, says "By pairing live video with the conversation on Twitter, there is no faster way to see what's happening in the world,". The reason behind the decision is to ensure that there is no more intentionally incorrect stories and content going into Twitter users' feed. The credibility of the media and social media took a large hit after it was found that the Russians meddled in the 2016 Presidential Election.
