The "God Particle" is Discovered

The "God Particle", scientifically known as the Higgs Boson is a particle that is quite practically speaking is fundamental to our understanding of the universe. The Higgs boson lends weight to the theory of the Higgs field which is what explains the characteristic of mass. The Higgs boson is key in the astrophysical phield as while it doesn't directly prove the existence of the Higgs field, it is part of the journey to humans understanding the world around us. Kelly Dickerson explains that mass is theorized to be created when Higgs boson interacts with the "Higgs field,an invisible energy field present throughout the universe that imbues other particles with mass". In a field where discoveries aren't very prevalent and not very interesting to everyday people, this is a great achievement for mankind.
