Do more good than harm, a motto doctors should live by. New research has made breaking news research for those affected by early stage breast cancer. According to research conducted by the National Cancer Institute, women with early-stage breast cancer with intermediate chances of recurrence can skip out on chemotherapy and still yield the same chance of beating the disease. This information will affect, “70,000 women a year in the USA and thousands more around the world,” saving them from painful chemotherapy and its side effects, and focusing on a more comfortable hormone therapy and surgery alone. This is one more step in our favor in the battle against cancer.
