Summer Solstice Brings Summer Romance

The Summer Solstice occurs on June 21st every year, and is more than just a weather phenomenon, it is a time celebrated romantically by cultures around the world. It is the longest day of the year, and the English take full advantage of the sunlight, watching the sunrise of the ancient Stonehenge. In fact, the warm weather is so rare in sweden, the solstice is the most widely celebrated holiday. The people drink, eat, and dance their hearts out all day and play along with romantic, superstitious traditions. According to a Swedish ethnologist, “"a lot of children are born nine months after Midsummer in Sweden,” if that tells you anything.
