Journalist Laura Vanderkam did an easy experiment to see how
much time she really has in a day. She used a spreadsheet to log what she did
during each hour of every day and then tracked her time like this for 3 years.
It seems like it would take a long time, but she claims it only took 3 minutes
a day and that the payoff was extremely worth it. She was able to visually see that
“even in a full life there can still be space.” From reading time to parenting,
the spreadsheet helped her feel more confident about how much time she spent
doing necessary tasks and fun activities. Vanderkam’s post can help others discover
their hidden free time within their own busy lives.
