A
claim was made that a man sued McDonalds for around $1.5 million dollars
because “after he ate his happy
meal, he was still depressed.” This story has resurfaced randomly since
July 2017. The claim was first originated by a website that purely published
satire and hoaxes. Like many satire websites, the site added a disclaimer for
their viewers stating that “all its content is fiction (except those posts
under the “serious” category)”. Yet again, we have another case of a satire
website being taken seriously. Don’t worry McDonalds, thanks to this story, we
now know that happiness is not guaranteed. [1 image, 1 link, 2 quotations, 101 words].
