Fake news has been an issue
for many digital media users. It is everywhere and it makes it hard for people
to choose which posts and discussions are factual. According to BBC news, Facebook
has decided to try to educate their users to become more aware and careful of
what information they are taking in on their news feeds. There is an ad that
appears at the top of their news feed to ask users to click on them to read
about the tips on how to spot false news. This increased awareness to other
sites such as Google, to find false stories. Now Facebook is improving on
controlling the posts that appear on everyone’s news feeds. The campaign
“reduced fake news in the US, and no growth in Europe”.
