There has been a
controversial movement about parents not vaccinating their kids because they
believe their children will develop autism. According to USA TODAY, there has
been a rise in vaccine-preventable disease outbreaks. “Measles – once
considered eliminated by the CDC in 2000 – have popped up” and the “anti-vaccine
push gives diseases new life”. There are cities that are growing in the amount
of preventable diseases, and it is concerning because there could be a
possibility that other countries might follow this same path. As a result, this
could potentially lead to an pandemic, that could be easily prevented by
vaccines.
