Twitter isn't the only social media site fighting against fake news. Facebook has enlisted a lot of firepower to sniff out fake identities, divisive pages, and fake news alike. Product manager Tessa Lyons says "We're scaling in the US and internationally, expanding beyond links to photos and videos, and increasing transparency." Like many other social media sites, Facebook is trying to clear all suspicion and hostility that may be directed towards them after the 2016 Presidential election. For ensure extra protection from fake news, Facebook is hunkering down around midterms by making advertisers "verify and confirm who they are and where they are located in the US,".
