Just like our food, there are possibly deadly chemicals placed in our makeup. These chemicals can contribute to the texture, consistency, and smell of the product. One hazardous ingredient that can be found in makeup is called "phthalates". This chemical can be responsible for the way your body produces hormones. When being exposed to "phthalates, it can cause "eproductive abnormalities and decreased production of testosterone in males, as well as decreased male fertility." The chemical is mainly used for fragrance, and durability. It basically makes the product more easier to handle. In order to find this chemical, you would have to look at the ingredient list where it will say "fragrance".
