As some may know, Chick-fil-A is a Christian business that for example, is not opened on Sundays, and has reportedly openly opposed same-sax marriage due to the biblical definition of marriage. This has rubbed some of their customers the wrong way. There is a claim that Democrats have made eating at Chick-fil-A a hate crime. This fake news was started when the CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, tweeted about an app while referencing Chick-fil-A. His tweet received some backlash because it was Pride Month, and Chick-fil-a has a background of not agreeing with said lifestyle. The rumor originated from an author for Babylon Bee who wrote an article about this sudden outburst. The website has a clear disclaimer, “The Babylon Bee is Your Trusted Source For Christian News Satire”, after the article implies that “Democrats… would make it a hate crime to eat at Chick-fil-A.” Anyone reading the article should know that it is purely satire, not real news.
