Netflix's Head of Communication Fired Due to Racist Slur.

Today the CEO of Netflix, Reed Hastings, fired the chief communications officer, Jonathan Friedland, due to the use of the n-word multiple times at the workplace. It happened twice while Friedland was at the company. The first time was when he was talking to his public relations team about "words that offended in comedy". The second time was when he was in a meeting with two black HR employees who were trying to help him with the first time he said it. The Wall Street Journal states "Mr. Hastings said he only found out about the HR incident this week, which convinced him to fire Mr. Friedland. He said that on reflection, after the first incident he should have 'done more to use it as a learning moment for everyone at Netflix about how painful and ugly that word is' ".
