McDonald's to test plastic-straw alternatives in U.S. later this year
McDonald's has been a huge chain food business around the world. Due to the pressure of the environment, McDonald's will start testing alternatives to plastic straws on selected location in the U.S. “McDonald’s is committed to using our scale for good and working to find sustainable solutions for plastic straws globally,” Francesca DeBiase, the company's executive vice president for global supply chain and sustainability, said in a statement. “We hope this work will support industry-wide change." Single-use straw is bad for the environment because they don't easily biodegrade. This move of McDonald's is a big step to help to improve a better environment and save the earth.
