Life of a "Political" Prisoner

It is now well known that Paul Manafort, the former Trump Campaign Chair, has been convicted of a crime and is currently in jail. However, the topic of how those high profile people live in those jails and prisons is a fairly undocumented topic. This article from CNN details just that. The article itself is fairly interesting, although that may be due to my own curiosity with prisons and how they work. Regarding the journalism aspect of the article is how the author explained the circumstances of the jail and why thats significant in Manafort being held their. For example, "The federal government rents space for inmates. One architecture companies' overview of the place says it's a building "in harmony with its rural surroundings" -- but with a maximum security perimeter." Instead of harping over more of the same facts already covered in other stories, this journalist focused on the obscure facts that people will actually be interested in beyond the facts surrounding the case itself.
