Journalist Meets with a Survivor: Ed Kashi

A journalist that I just recently found on Instagram is Ed Kashi (@edkashi). Kashi is well known for his photos documenting many sociopolitical issues of our time. In his biography of his website, www.edkashi.com, Kashi has a history of covering “topics as diverse as the impact of oil in Nigeria, the protestant community in Northern Ireland, the lives of Jewish settlers in the West Bank, […] climate change, the plight of Syrian refugees, and the global epidemic of Chronic Kidney Disease among agricultural workers.” In the above photo posted 3 days ago, his recent work on a climate change film led him to interviewing Lirok Joash (pictured above) who is the last surviving witness to the 1954 American atomic testing on Bikini Island.
