Jelani Cobb is “the Columbia University journalism professor, staff writer for The New Yorker, and widely praised commentator on race in America.” Despite the numerous works he has done already, Cobb has taken up a little more fun job too. Cobb was part of Marvel's Luke Cage show during the last episode of season 2 as a talk show host. The ecstatic journalist made it known that he is a “huge superhero geek and a voracious reader of Marvel Comics.” An interesting revelation that he learned while on the show and thinking more about the character, Luke Cage, was that black characters are seen less in the spotlight. Now, there are more coming up but “the medium has to be more inclusive.” Even still, it’s nice to see journalists and others bringing out the childhood side of them.
