A hot topic right now in the media is the separation of kids from parents at the U.S.-Mexico border. For many years now, people have been trying to cross the border illegally and those who are caught are held in detention facilities, separating children from parents. Anderson Cooper, on his show Anderson Cooper 360, talks about the confusing statements on Trump’s plan to combat the separation. Trump was seen stating that he will send out an executive order to reunite families but there is “mixed signals on the implementation and mixed signals...on the meaning of the order itself.” Cooper questions Trump’s order because Trump stated that it would unite families, and in another setting stated that the order will “ultimately lead to separation.” You can see where the confusion starts, and hopefully the President will have a solid answer soon.
