How Food Labels Are Misleading

I used love when I saw the words "Non-GMO" and "Gluten Free" on a package. But it turns out that this wording is misleading. "A candy bar could be made of 100-percent organic, gluten-free, non-GMO ingredients, but it's still a candy bar," says Lisa Young, who is a professor of nutritionIn other words, even though food is made with non-harmful ingredients, it could still be hurtful towards your health. It might be fully natural, but it can still run the potential of placing your health in jeopardy. Words like "lite" and "light" can also be misleading because those words are based off of fat content. Just because fat isn't present in a particular food doesn't mean that it's healthy.
