According
to recent reports, Netflix workers now have to worry about zoning out with
their eyes open. Katherine Timpf reported that due to a recent ban, workers are
no longer allowed to look at another person for more than five seconds.
Along with the five second rule, workers are also banned from asking for
another employee’s number “unless they have given permission for it to be
distributed.” These new rules, along with others, are in place to make Netflix
a “safe and respectful working environment”. The rules were part of an
anti-harassment training that Netflix is “proud [to] offer.” Will these new
rules do more good than bad? [1 image, 1 link, 3 quotations, 104 words]
