"First Light"
A news source in Bangladesh called Prothom Alo looks like standard news fare at first glance. It even pits the country's leading political figures to extreme scrutiny. More notably, the media outlet's correspondents and staff writers are usually not directly credited, at least not forthrightly, as seen in this article here (the article is credited to a "staff correspondent"). What is more important here is that the Opinion section of the website is the exception, as writers of the editorials and columns are credited directly. Therefore, I know that it is a person named Khawaza
Main Uddin that makes bold claims such as, "the sacrifice that the
Bangladesh people had to make to see their development inclusive of
quality education has not been useful." (It is a good thing this person is credited – the article itself is rather well written.) Attributing authors to articles exclusively in the Opinion section is an interesting practice by one of Bangladesh's major news sources, and it is worth entertaining why they do this.
