Fake News More Than Frustrating

Fake news in in India is causing more than just annoyance and frustrations, it is causing uneasy communities and panic. WhatsApp, a social media app, has caused extreme nervousness in India claiming child kidnappers and spree murders. These anxious parents are not remaining passive, they have claimed the lives of at least 6 people, possible more. The scared guardians turn into panicked mobs, turning to violence when they see anyone in their vicinity that they don’t recognize. Police Captain warns civilians not to “take action into their own hands” when they see strangers near their home.
