Fake News is a phrase commonly associated with the current President of the United States, Donald Trump. It’s no secret that there is high tension between majority of the mainstream media and the current administration. He uses his platform on Twitter and elsewhere to call out many liberal media networks and label their reporting as “fake news.” In fact, Trump announced on Twitter early January about the “Fake News Awards.” Many “winners” of the awards were people that reported on whether the Trump campaign worked alongside the Russians to win the 2016 election. In Trump’s eyes, “he has labeled the press the ‘enemy of the American people.’”
