Fake News Creates Challenges For Students

The internet is the most convenient resource that could be used by students, but it could also be the most misleading. With one search, there could be multiple answers and it is up to the students to sort out the most factual source. Fake news affects education because students use the internet to search up answers for their research papers, homework, and any questions. That’s why most “schools incorporate medialiteracy – including the ability to evaluate and analyze sources of information”. That is why educators check for where each student finds their sources and makes sure they gathered enough sources to prove their written content. Students need to make sure how to navigate and evaluate information online to prevent believing in any false information.
