Facebook Combats Fake News

Facebook has put a fair bit of effort into fighting the fake news that is rampant on the platform, but now they have taken a direct method as seen in the photo. According to Facebook, "the impact of fact-checking reduced the distribution of fake news by an average of 80 percent." The fact checking program has been rolled out to four countries as of two days ago. One reason Facebook is now taking a more active roll is due to the ability of fake news to influence an election, especially by foreign governments as well as photos being taken of context to further political agendas.
