According to Forbes Magazine,“Last month an image purporting to show children in cages as a result of current immigration policies went viral on social media, accelerated by a number of high profile journalists, activists and former government officials who shared it widely”. This image raised a lot of suspicion, but the image was actually real and went viral before Google Search found the image was dated all the way back to 2014. Social media consisted of incorrect and fake information, but website like Facebook and Google can combat this fake information because of who shared the original post first and the timestamps on these social media platforms.
