Common Sense Media is a
website that educates kids and adults how to make smart choices on media and
technology use, in a positive and beneficial strategy for their lives. Kids are
consuming media almost every second every day, and “the media content they
consume and create has a profound impact on their social, emotional, cognitive,
and physical development”. Fake news can affect kids by hindering their
learning and self-esteem. They would believe in the source of news they are
reading about, and later find out that it was not true, and they feel like
fools for believing something fake. They weren’t educated to find multiple
choices Common sense media is a helpful way to educate children about how to
consume their information, and social media is the most uncredible source, but
their most preferred source.
