“25 percent tariff will take effect July 6 on $34 billion of U.S. goods.” according to CNBC News. China just announced this morning that it will put on just as hard tariffs on US goods as US will theirs. The list of US goods that will be tariffed are “soybeans, electric vehicles, a range of hybrid electric vehicles, a variety of seafood and pork.” This is a huge deal that is not getting a lot of attention. CNBC, also goes on to say that the US will still pursue tariffs on Chinese goods, causing trade relations to deteriorate. The US says it will also put a 25% tariff on 818 Chinese imports worth 50 billion in tariffs.
