According to The Guardian, Canada becomes the second country in the world to legalize the use of cannabis. In the next two to three months, it will be available to be sold and bought across the country. Senator Tony Dead says that Canada’s vote “ends 90 years of needless criminalisation, it ends a prohibition model that inhibited and discouraged public health and community health in favour of just-say-no approaches that simply failed young people miserably.” On Tuesday, the new legislation was passed in hopes of controlling the distribution of cannabis, especially away from children and to stop the proffiting of criminals.
