Matilde Giglio and Mayank Banerjee came together to create a news app for millenials with non-partisan information. "Giglio and Banerjee got talking about how their friends had started blocking one another on Facebook because they had different political views", so they wanted to create something where they would have access to information that wasn't biased or partisan towards any political topics or news in general. They went around and spoke to several university students to get their opinion and this is exactly what they wanted. After so much time and dedication Giglio and Banerjee created an app called "Compass News". With the Compass News app, the creators decided to include small summaries and bullet points instead of articles for their news stories “because of the amount that information costs and because of fake news, there is the risk that an entire generation doesn’t follow the news."
