Areas of California, such as South Lake Tahoe, are no strangers to black bears, but when one crawled through the window of Lane Sykes and Carol Scofields home, it came as a shock. The residents of the home caught the bear on their surveliience camera. "I still couldn't understand how a seven-foot bear, 300 pounds, could fit through that (window)," (Sykes). Madeline Farber , of Fox news, reported on this interesting story of the break in and reported that the residents of the home explained that this may not be the first time the bear has broken into their home. “In total, the couple has had trouble with a bear on six different occasions during the 20 years they’ve lived in South Lake Tahoe.” (Farber).
