Trouble in the Middle East

Today it is not uncommon to see yet another middle eastern country going to war. Yemen, an Arab sovereign state is at war and may be at its tipping point. The war has been brutal and is between a Saudi Arabian coalition and the United Arab Emirates.  The article states that, “A U.N. mediator and a top diplomat from the United Arab Emirates both expressed hope Thursday for a negotiated deal with Houthi rebels that could relieve pressure on the city.” Although they made some progress by agreeing on a few things they also disagreed on more than we were hoping for. Many humanitarians are afraid that this war will be fatal to the population that resides in Yemen, because they are lacking relief supplies necessary for the extremity of this war. Officials are hoping they can solve the three year war by negotiating with the piece of land Hodeida. [1 image, 1 quotation, 1 link, 150 words]
