Starbucks Spikes
Starbucks coffee plays such an important role in some people's lives that it is starting to become a cultural icon for the United States, its logo appearing on bumper and laptop stickers across the nation. While it may be a staple for some people, its rising prices might cause some upset in the coffee cups of America. According to Nicole Spector, the "global coffeehouse chain just raised the price of a regular drip coffee by 10 to 20 cents in most locations". The main cause of this is the fact that preparing one cup of coffee costs more than we may think, and with the global market prices rising, the cost of something so small as a cup of coffee must rise too.
