The article targets an African American and female candidate running in the democratic primaries for a position as Georgia's senator, named Stacey Abrams. Daily World Update claims that the candidate won the primaries because "she paid people by the tens of thousands to go out and vote." Despite the fact that the site incorrectly identifies the senator as Michelle Wilford and is honest about its insincerity, many misinformed readers have been led to believe that the story is true, leading to the rumor being spread on multiple social media platforms.
