Protien to Fix Cancer Cells
Cancer hits home with almost every one of us today. It's popularity is daunting. The research that Ryan Jensen is doing on ovarian and fallopian cells can potentially save thousands of lives. In the article by Yale University's Rick Harrison, he reports that Ryan Jensen has potentially found two proteins that can turn on or off the mutated genes that cause fallopian and ovarian cancer. Harrison reports, "The BRCA1 and BRCA2 proteins function like an auto-correct function in text messaging." If only there was a automatic detection system within our bodies that could tell us when a gene is mutated, like that of auto correct. These types of discoveries can advance the health of woman today and ease some worries. [1 picture, 1 link, 1 quote, 120 words]
