Women Rights in Iran
Its 2018 and yet there is still discrimination, segregation and violation of rights. In Iran women are barred from watching men sports games. In this article from the NY times an activist, remains nameless to protect her identity, walked in to a soccer stadium to watch her country play for the first time. She uses social media under an alias to protest against the ban and has gained a huge following even from people who are from Iran and some from Iran. “I remember in 2005, we wanted to watch football, and many educated people didn’t recognize it as something that is a women’s rights issue,” she said but she continues to fight for her rights.
