Harvard Sued for Discrimination

Harvard University has been sued by the Student for Fair Admissions for allegedly showing signs of discrimination towards Asian American applicants. According to The Guardian, the University has had a consistent pattern of scoring Asian Americans reletavely very low on the personality traits as compared to the white applicants. The Student for Fair Admissions held an analysis of over 160,000 students. In this analysis, it was discovered that Asian Americans with high academic scores were scoring low on the personality trait tests such as likeability traits. The group of Student for Fair Admissions claims that, “Harvard today engages in the same kind of discrimination and stereotyping that it used to justify quotas on Jewish applicants in the 1920s and 1930s.”
