Fake News Threat

Fake news is real and it doesn’t seem to go away. You turn on CNN it gets said, Fox News says it as well. I mean you cannot turn on the television without hearing those words. But the worst part of this problem is that people are purposely getting wrong information out to the people just to persuade them to see their personal vindictive views. One way that people are getting their fake news out is “aspiring video-faker can simply feed images of a given person to a machine-learning algorithm, which in turn learns to overlay their features onto the body someone in another video, thereby creating a simulacrum of the original person doing things she hasn’t done”. So in short terms people can edit and modify videos for what they want the viewers to see or not see. This is very much dangerous because you can accuse a innocent person of doing something illegal or a crime being modified so in video evidence no such thing is shown. So for us as consumers and viewers we need to make sure we scrutinize the authenticity of everything that is given to us. BLOOMBERG
