Children separated from their families at the Border, Placed in Fort Worth

Although Bishop Michael Olson, of Fort Worth Catholic Charities, has housed kids from all over the world. Today was a bit different. The children that were taken from their families at the border are now being housed at the Catholic shelter. There are 26 beds available and room for more if needed. People have volunteered at the shelter to help the children during this very difficult event. Sadly, Volunteer Regina Calderon says, “Almost guilty that you are able to have these comforts and not be able to physically just go at the drop of a dime to go help these kids, very, very heartbreaking.” The shelter is asking for any possible donations especially hygiene kits and clothes. [1 image, 1 link, 1 quote, 117 words]
