At the moment the cheerleaders from the NFL are in the spotlight, and not for their dancing. With the #MeToo movement more and more women have been coming forward to talk about their experiences. Most of the stories that have come up are about their wages and how it isn’t equal to the amount of work they put in. They have also talked about their sexual assault experiences due to the job which include being sold out to high paying fans, and from there they are made to go to these men’s houses. “Five former N.F.L. cheerleaders sued the Houston Texans on Friday, claiming the team failed to fully compensate them as required by law and subjected them to a hostile work environment in which they were harassed and intimidated.”
