An Island Without Water

Scorching hot temperatures and a lack of rain has caused eastern mediterrainean islands to be defenseless against drought.The third annual drought over the Middle East has caused Maroni Cyprus to be thirsty for the slightest bit of water; leaving dams to be at 21.9 percent capacity across the island. According to the source Cyprus, The lack of water has " slashed Christoforou’s olive production to a quarter of what it was less than two decades ago. Even cactuses are struggling to survive." The Island's population of 1.2 million, have lost sight of what a life with water is like.
